This is my first expedition to the Sea of Cortez and I have to admit the Gulf ROCKS. The diving is great, loads of very interactive sea lions, an incredible amount of tropical fishes, sea turtles, nudibranchs and if you are lucky sea horses… and during sailing, you can see and snorkel with dolphins!
If you don’t want to dive you can take a kayak or paddle board ride in a beautiful comparable island scenery or take a little hike on the beautiful islands. At this time of the year you have very warm water, 25/26°C it is awesome to just take a swim when we are on anchor or just enjoy your beer on the sun deck or in the hot tub.
The Gulf of California aka Sea of Cortez has it all, for hardcore divers or adventurers that want to enjoy the sea and land.
To make it a very round pack you have breathtaking sunsets and night sky with none of the light pollutions you might have back home.
Check out the Gulf, it’s worth a trip!
