Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2022-10-06

Location: Las Animas

Weather: Clear Skies, N Wind (5kts), Swell (1ft)

We finished yesterday with a very good dive at Punta Lobos, north-east Carmen Island in Loreto, all the guests came back happy and after dinner, we got underway for Las Animas, 80nm south, arriving here at 0700.

So far we’ve done two dives, both excellent. Conditions are pristine, with great visibility and mild to moderate current. Lots of sea life around including a couple of hammerheads spotted on the first dive, sea lions, schools of snapper and creole fish, some groupers, and much more. On the second dive, they visited the cave on the NE side of the big rock.

Tonight we have a taco night and head for San Francisco where we’ll finish the day tomorrow with 3 dives before heading back to Cabo.

Water temperature: 85°F

Visibility: 82ft
