CAPTAINS NOON REPORT 20-OCT-2022

We made two more dives yesterday afternoon at San Idelfonso. Both dives had very good conditions similar to those in the morning. After dive 3 there was a large group of dolphins in the area and Yann took the RHB out and tried to get the guests in the water with them. The dolphins weren’t having it and nobody even got a glimpse in the water. but all enjoyed the efforts.

the first two dives have been decent, Conditions are very wintery. Cold, green water. But despite the change in conditions divers are enjoying the day. We have a lot of macro lovers onboard, and this area has given us plenty of nudibranchs and other little critters. And quite a few playful sea lions. We have had multiple groups of dolphins in the area all morning as well. Overall it has been a great day. Because of delays with dolphin wathcing and recovering a lost camera we are behind schedule enough to make just three dives here. With the current I don’t want to risk divers in the water after sunset. But that means that after dive three we can get underway and spend what is left of the daylight searching for mammals. Guests are excited about that.
