We enjoyed an amazing dive trip aboard the Nautilus. Can’t say enough good things about the crew. Very safety-conscious, very helpful with dive gear, and they have a lot of dive experience. The crew is very knowledgeable about the various dive sites at Socorro. We dove with dolphins, manta rays, and unbelievable numbers of sharks. We had the good fortune to dive with a pod of dolphins and got to watch a mother and baby dolphin. The pod stayed with us for almost our entire dive. It was magical.
The food was excellent as well. There were always tasty snacks available; big kudos to Mar for all of her tasty cookies, scones, and cookie bars. The crew did educational marine briefings, including describing manta identification by Jay. Marianna, the marine biologist, was very passionate about the marine life, and we really enjoyed talking with her about it. The dive briefings were super helpful. Dani did detailed drawings of each of the dive sites, so that we knew exactly what to expect. All of the crew worked hard to ensure we had a great trip.
The common area, dining area, and rooms were all first-rate. We put the jacuzzi and top deck to good use.
I highly recommend this trip. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
