Unexpected Adventure at the Sea of Cortez

Due to weather in Sea Cortez the guests of the Gallant Lady and I had the opportunity to visit Puerto Chale!

Our journey started with a fast ride through the mangroves until we reached where the bay meets the Pacific ocean! There we were meet by around 30 Grey Whales all moving in a line towards the shallows of the bay! They gave us a show spy hopping, blowing bubbles and on occasion swimming ride underneath the panga. This was my first time seeing these gentle giants and the most whales I have ever seen at one time- what an epic experience!

The trips finale was a sighting of a blue whale as the sun was setting over the coast of Loreto! The huge spout of the whale was surrounded by the pinks, lilacs and orange colours of the sky and everything else was a picture perfect mountains and water!

Thank you Nautilus Gallant Lady for giving me so many new memories in just a few short days!
