We’ve seen bottlenose dolphins surfing all around the panga while the frigate birds circle over head! A highlight was being surprised by a Bryde’s whale take a huge mouthful of sardines for its lunch from a huge static bait ball!!

“Magdalena Bay delivers! This is a dream trip – and my first time seeing blue striped marlin! The marlin race through the ocean, leap repeatedly through the air, lurk in the deep blue, and flash through the sardine bait balls. I cannot describe how beautiful these fish are. We’ve also snorkelled with humpback whales several times and once with a Bryde’s whale (also a first for me). Today is only day four of this trip and a gorgeous sailfish showed up for a meal at the bait ball. And the ever present sea lions are highly entertaining. The Nautilus Gallant Lady is a comfortable ship with a fantastic crew who work hard to tailor the trip to each guest’s wishes. The food is wonderful, the beds comfy, and this group of guests is so much fun.”
