We have just spent 2 days on Socorro Island diving Cabo Pearce and every dive delivered! We were greeted by pods of dolphins dancing around us and oceanic mantas on every dive. Each group got to experience some amazing encounters on the cleaning station and around the dive site, with tiger sharks and hammerheads.

Read MoreWe came here with high expectation for the dive sites as well as for the boat. While we did not see any humpback whale, we made up for it with whale shark, dolphins, hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, tiger shark, the biggest manta rays we’ve ever seen. Back on the boat, the crew catered to our every demand with professionalism and a good sense of humor. Overall we had a great experience and will most definitely come back again!

The wildlife sightings at Cabo Pearce were unworldly at times, watching balletic Oceanic Mantas dance just inches from our masks, cheeky dolphins trying to lure us into the deep blue and coming face to enormous hammerheads and Galapagos Sharks.

Read MoreThe end of the second dive gave us a gigantic female manta that was determined to show off for us. She even did a graceful somersault for us. Then at “the canyon. the highlight came when a black and chevron manta came our way while we were all focused on the shark activity. A hammerhead sighting was icing on the cake for our final dive. We were serenaded throughout the whole dive by a whale singing their song. So amazing!

Read MoreDropped off the boat and descended onto a pod of curious dolphins. Hammerheads in the distance, drive-by’s from a couple of tiger sharks, a little octopus swimming around the rocks, silvertips all over, some mantas gracefully checking us out, the dolphins playing, lobsters (including a slipper lobster) hanging around and saying hi, and so much more!

Read MoreDescended 20 feet down and turned around to be met by an enormous chevron manta ray. Squeals emitted from my regulator as I attempted to get everyone’s attention. It was an incredible experience to be so close to this huge majestic creature. Looking into its eyes while it stares back curiously. After the first manta went on its way we continued our dive . Halfway through we were met with at least 5 other mantas, both chevron and black.
