After our inspection at the navy base in Socorro Island, we were heading to Punta Tosca to do the silky snorkel. Some of the guests and myself were on the bow watching dolphins play with the boat. The Capitan said there was some garbage floating near by. He slowed down and turned to try to get the “garbage ” out of the water. Little by little we got closer and finally we got to take the “garbage” out of the water. To our surprise, we found it was pieces of a illegal fishing net.
Let’s keep diving to have more presence on the Revillagigedo Islands and avoid illegal fishing boats.
