Dive Report, Nautilus Explorer

Yesterday at Punta Tosca we had an amazing day. Calm conditions and clear waters. We could really get the best out of the great conditions by exploring the whole area! Even the deep pinnacle to the east of the dive site was accessible with a leisurely swim and we found some juvenile silky sharks and a big hammerhead. During the afternoon dives we also had mantas with us. Two chevrons and a black manta cruising around and making several appearances. But the highlight of the day were by far the Humpback Whales. They were everywhere!! We saw a mum and calf swimming trough the protected bay and several more could be observed from the Explorer and also from the skiffs on the way to and from the dive site. And their singing was with us the whole dives sounding loud and beautiful as if they would be just around the next rock! Incredible!! 4 of our lucky divers even saw one of the whales swim by them as they were doing the safety stop!!
