beautiful day diving in Mexico!

Today we saw the sunrise onboard the Gallant lady in front of Las Animas, a tiny rocky island north of San Jose, which has been pumping with sea life lately, and did not disappoint today! Our divers got to see schooling hammerheads on the first dive, and for Danielle, it was her first time, she was pretty happy coming back up. Then the following dives were full of playful sea lions. At the surface, at the bottom, all around, some juvenile playful, active sea lions and some adults more relaxed, just chilling and looking at the divers with curiosity. The young pups were super energetic today, playing underwater football with sea stars they grab from the bottom, nibbling on the divers’ fins and Cheryl even got a hug from a young pup! So many emotions and joy with these cheerful animals we like to call the doggies of the sea. Then the last dive, more sea lions and big schools of jacks, massive snappers, then coming back to the surface with the sunset over the Baja California coastline, the
frigates bird chasing the fish and a nice cold beer was waiting on the deck to celebrate a beautiful day diving in Mexico!
