It had been over a year since we last dived due to COVID. We were looking for a trip that would be fairly accessible and safe traveling from Los Angeles. Not only did we find that with the Nautilus Explorer, but we also found one of the best liveaboard operations in the world.
Not to sound cliché, but diving Cabo Pearce was simply magical. I loved everything about this dive – while enjoying the topography and smaller life I was suddenly overwhelmed by the giant, magical oceanic manta that passed effortlessly and gracefully overhead. After that, they continued to come, one by one and then two by two swimming in synchronicity. There were just too many to count. I will never forget this dive or this experience.
