Trip started slow due to the earliest tropical storm in history. The captain and crew did a great job trying to give us the experience of a lifetime while we waited for the storm to pass. During the first two days, we dove the Sea of Cortez and had the pleasure of snorkeling with mobula rays by the thousands and even pilot whales. We spotted a humpback and gray whale but both were not interested in having us around.
Once we were clear to travel to the Socorro Islands our ultimate experience began. No words can describe the feeling and excitement of having giant manta rays continuously swimming within reach, dolphins entertaining us and large whale sharks up close and personal. I will return in a year to have this experience again.
