Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2021-12-19

Location: The Boiler

Weather: Clear Skies, NE Wind (8kts), NW Swell (3ft)

Boiler today, the boat sits stable on the surface, the dive platform presents a bit of a challenge and we have all hands on deck. The dive in the Boiler is just out of the planet, mantas, dolphins, some hammerheads, and Galapagos. I wanted to do two dives here then move to the canyon but we are gonna make one more and end in the canyon, I brought a couple back to the boat on the first dive, they were the first ones out when I went back to the dive site I spot a shadow in the water, it turned out to be a 20Ft whale shark I followed it and it was going straight to the rock, I called on the radio to let people know but just before it reaches the Boiler it went deep and disappear in the blue water, I was hoping they could see it on the second dive but so far no luck. The Boiler is on fire today.

Water temperature: 78°F

Visibility: 100ft+
