Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2022-02-04

Location: Punta Tosca

Weather: Overcast Skies, NE Wind (16 kts), Calm Seas

Diving Punta Tosca. We finished our dive day yesterday at Roca Partida with very good action, when the divers were getting ready for the last dive, two humpback whales gave a show really close to the stern, they started breaching for like 10 mins getting closer to the boat, guests were watching them from the dive deck taking pictures and videos. They had in the last dive lots of big tunas, bonitas, silver tips hunting, and one manta.

We arrived this morning at Punta Tosca and our first dive was a little bit slow, we only had one manta and one hammerhead. For the second dive action got much better, four chevrons and one black manta were playing around, two hammerheads. One group saw a tiger shark. There was a small current going to the west. We are having one more dive here and then move to the Navy base for a routine inspection.

Water temperature: 76°F
