Diving with mantas is such a humbling experience. They’re noble giants who love to show their beauty and let themselves be pampered with divers’ bubbles. In the beginning, the excitement of the first encounter was too much to handle and I wanted to be as close as possible. With time, I was able to contain myself and admire them from a distance, letting them dictate the terms of our fleeting, yet life-changing interaction, letting them come near me.
