Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-08-30

Location: Isla Cerralvo

Weather: Cloudy Skies, W Wind (10kts), NW Swell (1ft)

Departed Cabo last night around 2030hrs and arrived in Roca Montana at the south end of Cerralvo at 0730. Did our briefings, gear set-up, and check-out dive before lunch. The dive was nice, it’s a nice easy, shallow reef. Not a lot of fish but in certain areas, the divers found some schooling snapper, some zebra eels, and green morays. We also saw a manta at the surface, and one of our guests who was snorkeling got to see it while snorkeling. So it was a nice start. Now we are heading to La Reinita (carpenter rock) for our afternoon dives. Tonight we’ll head to Las Animas and spend the day there.

Water temperature: 80°F

Visibility: 50ft
