Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady- 2022-09-14

Location: Isla Cerralvo

Weather: Clear Skies, E Wind (5kts), NE Swell (3-4ft)

Just before arriving at Montana we spotted a fin whale and spent 10 minutes watching the whale before anchoring for our checkout dive. The checkout dive went well, nice easy reef dive to start things off. Lots of moray eels around, not a lot of fish on that reef but nice conditions, and mild current.

Now we are on our way to La Reinita for our first afternoon dive and we may try La Reina for 3rd dive and do our night dive back at La Reinita. Tonight we’ll head north to Las Animas for our second dive day tomorrow.

Guests are good, a few repeat guests I’ve sailed with before at Clipperton and Socorro, everyone very pleasant.

Water temperature: 80°F

Visibility: 50ft
