Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady- 2022-10-07

Location: Isla San Francisco

Weather: Clouded Skies, NW Wind (10-12kts), NW Swell (1-2ft)

After a fantastic day at Las Animas and another successful taco night, arrived in San Francisco just before 2200hrs last night and had a quiet night at anchor. This morning we took the RHIB offshore to El Bajo de San Francisco for dive 1 and everyone loved it. Beautiful conditions with a mild current. The rock was full of life, schooling sardines, a school of machetes, snappers and grouper, octopus, turtles, lots of beautiful soft corals, black corals, and sea fans. A gorgeous dive.

For dive 2 we came inside to La Lobera de San Francisco (San Francisquito) and have just finished our first dive here. Another beauty with lots of playful sea lions and a big school of Cortez Barracuda that were near the divers for most of the dive. We’re going to do one more dive here then head for Cabo, arriving tomorrow morning at 0730. The boat will have a night in town and depart again on Sunday.

Water temperature: 82°F

Visibility: 65ft
