Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady- 2022-10-12

Location: Los Islotes

Weather: Clear Skies, W Wind (5kts), Swell (2ft)

We made two more dives yesterday at Las Animas, both were great, with good sea lion action the entire time. Guests loved the day overall. Following dive 4 we got underway and ran the 35 miles south to Espiritu Santo where we spent a pleasant night at anchor in Ensenada grande.

Around 0700 this morning we got underway and anchored closer to Los Islotes to wait for our pangas for the sea lion dives. Pangas arrived right at 0800 and we were able to get our divers into the two boats by about 0830. And the dive was great. Very good visibility with a huge ball of sardines in the area and lots of playful sea lions. Guests came back raving about it. The second dive left the ship around 1130.

All guests are happy and we are planning to make our way to the Fang Ming for a third dive once the divers have returned from there our plan A is to find a 4th dive at San Refaelito.

Water temperature: 84°F

Visibility: 75-100ft
