  • SOCORRO
    GIANT MANTAS
    • Socorro is all about Giant Mantas, not the number of manta but the amazing trust they have in us. If a manta looks yo in the eye and feels that she can trust you, the most amazing interspecies interaction often follows.
  • ULTIMATE

  • SEA OF CORTEZ
    AQUARIUM OF THE WORLD
    • Meet the playful sea lions of Los Islotes, surround yourself in a tornado of big eye jacks and schools of skipjacks. Lets not forget the huge pods of dolphins, turtles, mobulas, sperm whales, gobies, the hammerhead sharks around El Bajo & Los Animas, whales of all types of descriptions, shipwrecks and night dives. And if you’re lucky, giant mantas swimming around La Reina and orcas.
  • SAN IGNACIO

  • AIRPLANE SUPPORTED
    MOBULAS & ORCAS
    • Where there are schooling mobulas there can be orcas and with the help of our spotter aircraft we achieved a 78% success rate with in-water encounters in 2022. We have also encountered blue whales, solitary pregnant whale sharks, huge pods of dolphins and lots of fin whales on previous trips.
  • MARLIN & BAIT BALLS
    MEXICO SARDINE RUN
    • During October to January, a magical event happens in the nutrient rich swirling blue waters off Magdalena Bay where striped marlin gather to hunt on the second largest sardine run in the world. This thrilling underwater action is spectacular. There is an excellent chance of also seeing California sea lions, dolphin, wahoo, pelicans, different species of gulls, boobie birds, frigate birds, shearwaters and even the awe inspiring albatross.

We moved to Socorro island for the second day of dives… it was really good too. At the end of the day, we got the chance to go snorkling with silky sharks. What an experience, all those beautiful animals swimming half of meter of you. Mantas and hammerheads for our fun. Sailed back to San Benedicto to meet El Boiler. What a site. Dolphins, mantas and sharks… and a lot of life.

Just finished the last dive of the trip and it was epic. Non stop manta action, interrupted by a swim through by the dolphins. Finished the dive with a school of hammerheads under us at the safety stop.. This was my third trip on the Belle Amie and I cannot wait to return.

This trip has been amazing! the only complaint I have now is having a hard time to figure out my next diving destination since I’ve been spoiled with such a great dives!! Mantas almost every dive, sharks constantly and even a “bad dive” we had 7 white tip sharks very active, huge black jacks very close! this is a great place to dive!

What I’ve found on this trip is equally amazing- the crew of the Nautilus Undersea. Every one is a star in their own right. The crew work HARD to ensure that every guest has the best time possible. Their collective knowledge base is enormous. They are always first up, last to bed and yet somehow always have a big smile and a helping hand for all. This crew hits it out of the park!

Everytime I think I just might be getting hungry, someone hands me a second breakfast… or another cookie. No matter how hard I try, they always seem to find me with some food. I’m afraid for next week when I leave the boat and return to my family. Will someone feed me two breakfasts per day? No. Will someone follow me around work and say “wanna cookie?” No.
My life is about to become very hard.

This is my third trip to Socorro and it did not disappoint. There is a magic to this place unlike anywhere else. The mantas and dolphins don’t just zoom by – they stop to interact with divers. The variety of sea life is overwhelming. We saw at least five different kinds of sharks, rays (including an electric ray), eels, octopus, and so many fish. It was hard to leave the water at the end of each dive. The Nautilus crew was great and they worked so hard to make sure we all got the most out of the trip. All I can say is that I will be back.

The diving sites are diverse and uniquely exceptional. The sharks and Mantas were at the majority of the sites and in abundance. Dolphins come very close to engage in some fun. I was taken aback by the Manta; had not realised they had self-awareness. That is a unique experience.
