San Ignacio Gray Whales
Extraordinary Interaction & Experience
We have seen whales before, in Galapagos and Hawaii, but this is the first time we see fin whales. We actually went on a whale-watching trip in Hawaii and we never saw one even this close! It was great!
Read MoreI was so pleased I decided to complete the night dive. I was blown away by the number of sea creatures we saw, these included an octopus and multiple moray eels who used the lights from our torches to spot their pray. We were lucky enough to see a pair of sea lions, playing in the shadows beneath us.
Read MoreNot only that, we encountered a giant school of dolphins, and were able to get into the water with them as well! In the afternoon, we did a dive in La Reina, there was a myriad of fish surrounding us, for a moment, I thought I was in heaven.
Read MoreEveryone was in high spirits coming out of the water. As we got on the skiff we looked to see a shooting star up above us. One of my dive companions noted we’ve seen the stars below now we see the stars above.
Read MoreAs non-divers on the Sea of Cortez excursion, my husband and I weren’t sure what to expect. But, wow, we couldn’t be more pleased. The entire crew has been so fantastic and super accommodating, ensuring that we have great snorkeling experiences while others are diving. The other activities like sea kayaking, hiking, and paddle boarding have been so much fun as well. So far we’ve snorkeled with a huge school of Mobula and a big colony of sea lions and seen amazing marine life. We also enjoyed a great morning kayak to a nearby beach followed by a desert hike. On our second day, we tried the discover scuba diving program and enjoyed that so much that we’re going back for another dive. While we’ve enjoyed all the activities, relaxing on the top deck and just taking in the sights is also hard to beat. The food has been top-notch, the accommodations very comfortable and, again, just have to give a huge shout-out to all members of the Nautilus team. This has been a fantastic vacation – so happy we took the chance and decided to take this trip. Would highly recommend it to divers and non-divers alike.

When I became a diver as an adult I always remembered that coloring book and dreamed of seeing a hammerhead on a dive. Today I fulfilled that dream by seeing not one, but two hammerheads while diving!
Read MoreThis was my first dive after I got certified and it was awesome. I had no problems with my ears and I was a little bit afraid about it. But everything went well. The boat is great, the crew is great, the food is great, and the diving is great!
