We didn’t manage to see any mobula rays, orcas or other whales up that way.

We finished the day snorkeling around San Juan de la Costa, then decided to head north to check out the San Jose Strait early tomorrow morning before running south back to the Bay of La Paz for noon tomorrow to join our pilot again for an afternoon of searching for orcas.

The second dive was beautiful too. We had three manta rays (who were very friendly with us), three hammerhead sharks and some Galapagos sharks.

We are then going to search the east part of Cerralvo this evening to see if there are any mobula rays and/or whales in that area as we have not searched there yet.

On the first dive, we had dolphins, plenty of manta rays (both chevron and black), lots of lobsters, Galapagos sharks, a few scattered hammerhead sharks, some silky sharks and the usual reef fish.

Guests ended up in the water with a big pod of bottlenose dolphins and then we spotted a humpback whale.

There were many manta rays interacting with divers, a few hammerhead sharks in the distance, wahoos, tuna and the usual reef fish.
