Californian sea lions must be the cutest living beings in the ocean! They are like ocean puppies, always cheeky and playful and so curious with the divers. Today we were at Los Islotes, north of Espiritu Santo island in the bay of la Paz, and our divers had the most extraordinary encounters with those furry friends, they could not believe it! There are so many young at the moment, they will be all over you: spiralling around you, nibbling on your fins, trying to surprise you by making acrobatic loops just in front of your eyes, looking curiously in your camera dome or even one today tried to grab and steal a Gopro, maybe to get selfies with his friends! They are recently born and spend a lot of time playing together…and with the divers! Los Islotes is the biggest colony in the south of the sea of Cortez, and we never miss a chance to stop here to play!
