On our very first dive here at San Benedicto we got to see a beautiful tiger shark! We were in a small canyon swimming down along it and some of the divers spotted a silvertip shark. All of a sudden, I turned around and saw the tiger shark right behind all of the divers. I got their attention and pointed just in time as it was still swimming towards us. It got really close then turned to go over one of the walls of the small canyon. Everyone saw it and after that a big manta ray swam overhead – it was a really great way to start the trip.
