Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2021-12-16

Location: The Canyon

Weather: Clear Skies, NE Wind (12kts), NE Swell (2ft)

Canyon dives today, the place is not offering much protection for the boat, we are doing just fine but the back deck is a bit challenging as the wind is steering the surface up and making some waves making it not easy for everyone, the crew is helping and keeping it safe.

Today there is a strong current going west, so far the two-morning dive has been full of sharks and few mantas, guests are impressed with the cleaning station at the canyon, divemasters are telling me they saw more than 30 Galapagos in the cleaning station along with some silvertip sharks and couple of times they ran into a school of 50 or more hammerheads.
yesterday in our third dive at the boiler they saw schooling hammerheads and a huge tiger shark, boiler was really good for us.

Last night we had our taco night, we all enjoyed the tacos.

Water temperature: 78°F
