Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2022-01-03

Location: Roca Partida

Weather: Clouded Skies, NW Wind (6kts), NW Swell (6ft)

No much current in the morning dives, however towards the end of the second dive the current is been doing some weird shifting, first running to the north then to the opposite side then to the west, and keep changing. The second dive so far has been really nice, lots of horse eyed jacks, cottonmouth jacks some big yellowfin tunas, some saw a handful o hammerhead sharks, the north side of the rock had some silvertip sharks, silkies, Galapagos, and then the big surprise showed up: a whale shark, guests are loving it! The whale shark stayed for the entire dive, kept circling around Roca Partida, then on the second dive it did it again, there were also couple or maybe three different mantas. Hoping the whale shark stays for the next dives.
