Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-03-06

Location: Fondeadero

Weather: Clear Skies, W Wind (12-16kts), NW Swell (2-4ft)

Blue sky and sunny day. Yesterday we did the third dive in Fondeadero, it was a great dive, three mantas were there around 25 minutes, some Galapagos and Silvertips, last dive of the day we dropped at The Canyon, a little bit quiet for the canyon on these days but still good, some Galapagos, Silvertips, whitetips and a few hammerheads.

Today we had the first dive with a light current to the W, an excellent dive on the canyon, two mantas one chevron and one black for a couple of minutes, lots of sharks everywhere, Silvertips, Galapagos, whitetips, and hammerheads, one group could see a juvenile small tiger shark and one group could see a pod of six to seven dolphins. The second dive today was great again, two mantas were with our guests, one group could see a school of 70 + hammerheads just a little outside of the cleaning station, lots of big Galapagos, Silvertips, one group could see the same juvenile small tiger shark on shallow, great dive now in the canyon for sure.

Water temperature: 75°F

Visibility: 60ft
