Diving with these whales is extremely rare. Luck has been on our side these last two trips aboard the Explorer. Our divers on consecutive trips were fortunate enough to have close encounters while diving with mother Humpback and calf. Twice in a lifetime dives. Maybe next week as well!

This is a moment when you understand that humans as divers can be completely accepted and share intimate, vulnerable moments with underwater animals, that these beings feel the same curiosity towards us as we have toward them and that the interaction is actually shared with equal appreciation for both sides.

At the different dive sites we spotted giant mantas, different kinds of sharks (Galapagos, silvertips, whitetips, hammerheads, some silky action going on around the ship every night) so everything came out as planned for the Televisa crew and the scientists onboard.

Today marks the final day for our guests aboard the Nautilus Explorer. We had an amazing week of diving around the Socorros Islands with amazing encounters at all of our dive sites.
