Read MoreWe saw about five or six hammerhead sharks very close and it was also my first time seeing silvertip sharks. The whole cleaning station part of the dive site is fantastic. Everything so far has been great – the food, the people and the boat.

Read MoreOn the second dive at The Canyon, we saw a big school of hammerhead sharks and a giant chevron manta that came to the middle of the group for a bubble bath. After it graced us with her presence, we turned around and a second school of hammerheads came to the cleaning station which gave us the chance for more pictures.

What a privilege it is to be here interacting with nature in a place like this where sea creatures live in a place so remote that they seem to be equally excited to encounter humans once in a while.
