The final dive of day 2 of the trip ranks among some of my all-time top dives. Now, this is not a small statement, as I have dove near and far around the planet over the past 11 years and almost 1k dives. The combination of the shark activity, perfect lighting, and the crew’s efforts to wrangle the sharks was top notch. A rather spirited male shark was quite active and doing lots of close passes next to the submersible cage that we opted to leave at the surface. This all made for the perfect conditions to capture some of my favorite images of the voyage.
