Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2022-03-13

Location: The Canyon

Weather: Clear Skies, N Wind (10-14kts), WNW Swell (4-6ft)

We started this morning by heading up to the Boiler, but the swell had the Gallant Lady rolling a bit too much to be able to stay there, so we decided to come back and anchor in the lee and take the RHIB up to the Boiler for the first dive. The dive itself ended up being really quiet, with very little animal life around, so we decided to do the remaining dives here at the Canyon. We just finished the first here at Canyon and it was great, a lot of sharks around at the cleaning station including some big Galapagos, hammerheads, silver-tips, and even a tiger shark. Guests also enjoyed a friendly giant manta on their safety stop that came by to hang out for a little while.

Water temperature: 75°F

Visibility: 50ft
