Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2022-03-24

Location: Roca Partida

Weather: Clear Skies, NW Wind (6kts), Swell (6ft)

The two dives we made were good, lots of action in Roca Partida today, there were all kinds of fish, mantas, and sharks, loads of Galapagos and Silvertips in the north corner, balconies packed with reef white tips, there are lobster the size of some of the white tips sharks, these lobster grow huge here. The south side of Roca had three mantas, they saw tons and tons of horse-eyed jacks, cottonmouth jacks, some wahoos and even when we did not see it underwater the humpback whales are around, a couple of times they came really close to the boat. Guests are loving it.

Today skies started cloudily then it cleared up, the current was running to the east.

Yesterday on the third dive we did the north point of San Benedicto and boy, the place is amazing, the topography is incredible and we saw tiger sharks, two mantas, loads of reef fish, and a hot spot for Galapagos, there must be eight Galapagos at least and they kept circling this little place for the entire dive.

Water temperature: 74°F
