We made one more dive yesterday afternoon at Punta Tosca, conditions remained good, with great visibility and very little current. On the third dive, there were two mantas, a few distant hammerheads, and two tiger sharks. Overall it made for a good day of diving and guests were happy with the experience. After dive three we got underway for the navy base and made our check-in via radio before continuing on to anchor at Cabo Pearce. After dinner, we ran the silky snorkel, but only one guest was brave enough to get in the water and he had a great show. Around six large silkies circle the area. The action was perfectly mellow for the entire 20 minutes that we had him in the water.

Today we start in the first position jumping at 0700 am, visibility from one side of the site around 100 ft, to the other side around 60 ft, no current on the first dive, manta action is in Cabo Pearce, around six or seven mantas were here with the divers, also a lot of scattered hammerheads, and lots of dolphins, all the groups could see the dolphins on this dive, around 10-15 bottlenose dolphins were here playing with the guests.

The second dive was at the canyon itself and conditions were great, with good visibility and mild current plus lots of sharks, silver tips, whitetips, Galapagos, and a school of 12+ hammerheads all in the area around the transmitter. Plus two black mantas to round out the experience.

On the first dive one single manta in the distance just came to say hi for a couple of minutes. The second dive was much better, sharks were still deep but this time two mantas came to play, really close this time and for more time.

Some mantas were passing by the cleaning station, two chevrons and one black manta, silvertips and Galapagos too, but the best part of the dive was 25-30 school of hammerheads coming in and out from the cleaning station, all the guests could see them.

That happiness is contagious underwater. I believe Revillagigedo is a good place to encounter pelagic animals for all types of divers not only super experienced ones. Conditions can play in favor of divers. In all the sites we can find protection from the topography and have nice and easy entries, you can encounter marine life not very deep and currents change a lot but you do not need to have OMG currents to see the big stuff!. Do not doubt about it. Come to the ocean paradise!!!

On our trip, we were very luckily treated to a unique and magical experience of swimming with oceanic mantas, watching a juvenile whale shark cruise by, seeing schooling scalloped hammerheads in the distance, mysterious and standoffish. As a bonus, dolphins also visited our group of divers and treated us to a playful and seductive interaction.
