Visibility was about 30 meters and the water is warm and blue. We were looking for the school of hammerheads around the rock, no sign of them, but we saw bonitas, jacks, huge sea turtles, and snappers. The First Time I Ever Went Diving Was with Great White Sharks!

Day one of our trip started with sightings of at least four different big male great white sharks. The action was non-stop from the time the cages opened, until the sunset over the western side of the island. Guests sipped cocktails, while our resident shark expert Pascal gave another insightful, informative and always engaging talk about the local population and species in general.

The great white sharks were amazingly interactive on this trip. We saw a lot of full breaches, a lot of bursts to the bait but also a lot of cautious approaches to the cages to observe the divers. A huge range of different behavior, giving the guests a completely new perspective of sharks and a new understanding.

So Much Action above and below the Water

On the second day, we had even more sharks around the boat but only the bigger ones came to play around the cages. We identified Paul Walker, a male with a tag next to his fin so that makes it easier for everyone to know who this shark is.
