Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2022-10-06

So far we’ve done two dives, both excellent. Conditions are pristine, with great visibility and mild to moderate current. Lots of sea life around including a couple of hammerheads spotted on the first dive, sea lions, schools of snapper and creole fish, some groupers, and much more. On the second dive, they visited the cave on the NE side of the big rock.

Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady- 2022-10-05

Yesterday afternoon on the last dive of the day a pod of bottlenose dolphins came into the dive site and one of the groups spent some quality time with 6 or 7 of them. After the dive, the RHIB when out to find the pod and everyone got a chance to jump in and snorkel with the dolphins. After that, we ran 30nm up to Coronado’s and anchored for the night.

Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady- 2022-10-04

This morning we did two dives at the north end, the first dive at Las Galeras and 2nd at Bajo Sandia, a couple of miles north of the island. Both dives were very good, with very cool topography, lots of reef fishes, and beautiful visibility today. At lunchtime, we moved to the south end and we’re diving a reef right at the south tip of the lighthouse, a nice reef that sits at around 40-50′, with nice fish life and some healthy soft corals and sea fans. And just as I’m writing this I can see a big pod of bottlenose dolphins hanging around the rhib and the divesite, so hoping the divers get to see them on their dive.

Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady- 2022-10-03

Last night guests arrived around 2130. They ran into some delays along the way but when they did arrive they were in good spirits and happy to be onboard. We ran overnight back up to Loreto and arrived at our first site at 0930. Our checkout dive was done at honeymoon cove on the west side of Danzante. The dive went well, a nice reef with lots of reef fish, morays, and a couple of turtles. V
