Read MoreFortunately, the mako did not hang around and the reason was soon clear when a couple of 12′ male great whites showed up and seemed to be taking turns to make a run on baits we had out. Despite the best efforts of the crew on the bait lines, the sharks seemed to be on a winning streak.

Sharks, sharks, and more sharks were around day after day with Bruce and Shredder being especially cooperative and helpful. It almost seemed that by day 3 they were more interested in circling around our cages than going after the tuna bait!

The boys just finished cutting up tuna bait on the back deck and we have a 200 litre barrel full of lovely guts, blood and tuna gills ready to start scenting the water.
