Captain’s Noon Reports – UnderSea – 2022-02-06

Location: The Boiler

Weather: Clouded Skies, N Wind (1-3kts), Calm Seas

We finished our dive day yesterday at Cabo Pearce with good action, we had five mantas in the cleaning station at the same time. We departed last night from Cabo Pearce and arrived this morning at San Benedicto (the Boiler), the action wasn’t good at all, nothing to see and a strong current going to the north. Guests enjoyed the topography of the dive site but nothing else.

We moved to the Canyon to check the action for the next dive. The second dive was much better; we had hammerheads, Galapagos, silver tips, and reef fish, and no current, guests are very happy. We are planning to do two more dives at the Canyon and depart for Cabo San Lucas tonight.

Water temperature: 78° F
