Woooo! Another awesome day here at Guadalupe on board the Nautilus UnderSea. Guests all were awake and ready with excitement to hop in the surface cages for 6 am sharp. Within minutes of our first bait, we had a 3-4 metre male white shark!

Read MoreI set my alarm for 6 am and almost considered going back to sleep, but I just couldn’t stand the excitement! I headed outside and I immediately saw sharks and couldn’t turn away for even a second! The day was amazing. The sharks gave all of us a show on the surface and in the deep cages, and we couldn’t get enough! The crew was so amazingly helpful at spotting, wrangling, and helping us do what feels most comfortable and exciting.

Guadalupe Island has been such a nice getaway and the crew has provided a fun and safe environment for us. We love having the freedom to dive whenever we want to see the great white sharks up close. Seeing one in person is an experience we highly recommend to everyone, especially doing it with Nautilus Liveaboards.

Just 10 minutes after the first bait was put in the water a 12ft male great white shark showed up and passed close by the bait a few times. Then five minutes later, it came back to try and grab the bait with a good breach right in front of the surface cage! This, of course, made everyone excited and all the guest started to get ready quickly and asked for the surface cages.
