For more than 25 years, Dr Rubin has focused his research on better understanding the Giant Pelagic Mantas of the Socorro Islands and surrounding Mexican waters. His knowledge of their evolution, behavior, and reproduction is invaluable. This research helps organizations like Manta Trust better identify the manta population of the area and campaign for better protection.
Read MoreToday Punta Toscas has been amazing, the first dive was unforgettable, around four black mantas and 2 chevrons, many silver tips and silky sharks in the area, visibility around 90 ft, and light current. For the 2nd one the mantas stayed with us and finally a school of hammerheads was there we were able to dive with them, diving conditions same as the first one just the current increase a little bit.
