  • If you want to se big animals…

This is the second time we have taken this trip on the Nautilus Belle Amie, it’s the same good experience that we had from 2016. I can recommend it to everybody. If you want to see big animals, like very nice manta, playing dolphins, sharks, a lot of fun, good dive team with a lot of experience. Do the same like me, book it! But remember to keep me a space! Also on the boat, the hostess, the chef, are better than good! We are spoiled, we very great foods and drinks. Also try after the dives, a great cocktail.…

  • Close encounters of the best kind

Second day on the Nautilus Explorer, finally after 24 hours of waiting, we immersed for the first time were three dives for me to settle, after the long journey. For the moment the manta rays are waiting but I am confident that sooner or later they will show up, since all the other groups have seen more than one. For the rest the Nautilus Explorer and a beautiful boat with a good crew, I’m curious to see what I will present for the rest of the trip. – Patrick Pigliapoco Nautilus Explorer – Close Encounters of the Best Kind with…

  • The Sea Lions investigate

Checkout dives started after 1PM this afternoon on the leeward side of Cedros Island. The captain anchored a short distance from a sea lion rookery on the beach and our divers hit the water in full scuba gear after a week in shark cages. Sea lions curiously investigated the group of divers in waves like ground troops in a full frontal assault at a single target. We stood still in the shallow water as sea lions darted around and all over us without a care in the world. There were all these cheerful divers on the deck after two dives…

  • Crazy good shark fun

With one of the most amazing days of the season with shark breaching and going for the bait all day, it was crazy good fun under the water. You just didn’t know which way to look with four or five sharks circling the cage and flying after the bait. Everyone couldn’t get enough with all the cages full through out the day. – Divemaster Alistair, New Zealand/Mexico

– Divemaster Damian

  • First day photo opportunities

Our first day of diving at Guadalupe started out a bit slow. Calm conditions, a beautiful sunrise and our first diver in the cages before 7am, but shark sightings remained few and far between for most of the morning. The first round of submersible dives surfaced with only a few reports of sharks deep and shy from the cages. Finally, around 10am, a large splash and excited yells of “SHARK!” from the dive deck marked our first big breach of the day by large female Persephone (ID #210). Cameras were grabbed by all possible free hands and cages filled quickly.…
