The first dive was easy with no current, loads of Galapagos and silvertips, the horse eyed jacks come in big schools then the cottonmouths are also around, a couple of yellowfin tunas and a wahoo here and there, the second dive had a surprise for the divers, three mantas that came in and stayed to play with the divers.

Lots of Unique Experiences

Really great day on dive day 2 at Cabo Pearce. The day started with sharks circling the boat, followed by a whale mum and calf breaching the surface. A couple of big mantas were seen on the first dive, then hot breakfast on the sun deck watching the whales play for an hour.

Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-03-08

Yesterday we did Cabo Pearce, the third dive was a little quiet, just some white tips, jacks, reef fish, last dive much much better, mantas back for the last dive, around five mantas were there with our divers, two groups could see a school of hammerheads, some Galapagos and Silvertips. After the last dive, we moved to the navy base to do the check-in, everything was ok, then moved to Punta Tosca where we slept at anchor.

In both dives guests were able to see hammerheads, not schooling but close and in good numbers, mantas were friendly in the second dive, the first dive had a couple of dolphins cruising by, guests are happy with the manta interaction and we still have more dives to go.

Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2022-03-06

Today first dive with a light current to the W, excellent dive on the canyon, two mantas one chevron and one black for a couple of minutes, lots of sharks everywhere, Silvertips, Galapagos, whitetips, and hammerheads, one group could see a juvenile small tiger shark and one group could see a pod of 6-7 dolphins. The second dive today was great again, two mantas were with our guests, one group could see a school of 70 + hammerheads just a little outside of the cleaning station

We moved from Roca at night, arrived at San Benedicto in the morning, we went to the boiler, light current to the NE, mantas everywhere, around seven or eight mantas were there very playful with our guests, one group could see a school of 10 hammerheads.
