It Was Just Magic!

We couldn’t have had a better day! Diving at the Boiler we rolled into the water and immediately two dolphins came our way and played amidst our divers for a bit. Doing summersaults and smiling and it seemed like they were having just as much fun interacting as we did. During the dives the whole day we saw mantas, mantas, and mantas!

Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2022-01-26

We arrived at The Canyon last night around 2300 already anchored and planning to dive there. We made a tentative plan to do our checkout dive at Fondeadero and then move to the boiler for dives 2-4. The check-out dive at Fondeadero was perfect for our divers to get accustomed to the operation and figure out their weights, etc. There was no current and visibility was around 50′. There was at least one manta sighted as well as some Galapagos sharks. It wasn’t amazing, but divers enjoyed themselves. As soon as divers were out of the water we got underway and relocated to The Boiler. We have done one dive here so far, and the divers loved it. The current was very mild from the south and visibility varied between 50-80′ with some hazy patches. There were at least three mantas at the site, with some of them giving great shows to our divers. So far it is a great start to our first day of diving! The plan is for two more dives here and then we will shift back to Canyon to anchor for the night and dive there tomorrow.

The Last Dive of the Day Was Mantastic

The last dive of the day was mantastic. We spend one hour at 45 feet interacting with at least four different oceanic mantas. To finish this amazing day we had a snorkel session at night with silky sharks. Cannot wait for tomorrow’s dives at Cabo Pearce!
