Well, we finished this trip with excellent dives in Roca Partida.
I said many times, in my opinion Roca Partida is the best dive spot in the all tropical eastern pacific.
In addition, this trip we have had a wonderful group from Poland, France, England and Bali.
A Socorro dive trip would not be complete without at least one day diving the famous Roca Partida. Although rough around the edges sometimes, the rock always proves to be beautifully unpredictable and visually stunning.

Today was a great day at Roca Partida with loads of Hammerhead sharks and a wonderful Manta encounter. This is a unique, secluded place with much to enjoy, from Cabo Pearce to San Benedicto.

There was a school of hammerhead sharks in 80 ft of depth, and bait balls of skip jacks. To finish our day at Roca we had a great visitor: a whale shark! It was not a big one, but still impressive. Socorro did not let us down!

Five minutes into the dive, passing through in the Blue, three massive hammerhead sharks! Another one in the sandy bottom at 25mts, two Manta rays, two big Galapagos sharks, and two Silver tip sharks.

8-9 years ago San Benedicto was heavily netted and took out almost the whole population of Galapagos sharks. At that time, we were helping to get some illegal fishing boats documented and reported to be followed up. The presence of the dive boats has definitely been pushing out poachers from this area.
