So, this was my first liveaboard experience. WOW! It doesn’t get any better than this! The diving was unbelievable! Mantas galore and I swear they mimic the divers.
A manta bigger than I could imagine stayed with us for 40 minutes, circling the group, getting as close as half a metre from us, from me.
Less than 5 minutes in water and we ran into 2 dolphins chasing a manta right in front of us!!
An unforgettable trip to Guadalupe to cage dive with Great Whites followed by diving with Sea Lions at Cedros/San Benedict then the Magnificent Mantas around the Socorro group.
I especially appreciated the warm welcome that we received from the crew and other trip members alike, given that this was our first diving experience. You all made us feel right at home, so for that thank you!!
The highlight of our first day in the Sea of Cortez was snorkeling with whale sharks.
The Boiler is still great for manta diving. Every dive had 2 black mantas, 1-2 chevron oceanic mantas. Jacks still have great formations and lots of lobsters, big moray and angelfish.
